I received a message last night. The buyer not happy with his vinyl record he bought in February. He stated this issue would affect my feedback as he would leave negative or neutral feedback. I partially refunded the item . I’ve asked for the item to be returned. I felt BULLIED into giving him a refund. Can the buyer after 3months contact for a refund ?

No … Call his bluff. Tell him you are not bothered about feedback on eBay. If you are concerned speak with eBay as sometimes they will listen.
Good luck in going forward.

You had no reason to offer or give any partial refund after that length of time. Partial refunds cannot be enforced, and a full refund can only be managed within 30 days of an item's last estimated date for delivery.
A buyer has 60 days in which to leave feedback, so theirs was an empty threat.
They do not have to accede to your request to send the item back , and you did send a partial refund.

thanks for the reply. I just didn’t know what to do.

When you send a partial (or full) refund the buyer is not expected to send the item back.

Out of interest is there much possibility the buyer has identified a genuine fault with the item you sold that might have been present at the time of sale? If so I might still be tempted to give a full refund despite the passing of time if they had asked nicely and were willing to return (even if I later said I didn't want the return I would always test their willingness to return first).
Try not to say anything to wind them up so keep correspondence concise, polite and business like as you don't want them taking revenge buying another item to raise an INAD or leave bad feedback against. No point unnecessarily accumulating enemies.

@123jen-2008, put the buyer on your 'blocked bidder list' to prevent the above!

I had something like that happen to mean the other day , he said I mislead him in the description. I quoted this
Buyers aren't allowed to use threats of negative feedback or low detailed seller ratings to get something that wasn't part of the original listings, and sellers can't demand positive feedback from buyers.
He had now disappeared without hearing any more from him .

Ditto all the above advice. I have leant not to correspond with buyers if they complain I just guide them to open a case. It's ultimately the structure we have to use. Some chance a message to the seller for a refund, but won't open an official case with ebay.
In the OP's situation I'd give the same direction to open a INAD case, and let ebay tell them that they are out of time. And definitely block.
Don't beat yourself up for the partial refund - chalk it up to enhanced customer service. You are on the moral high ground. Ebay's 30 days MBG is pretty generous to establish whether an item is sold with pre-existing or latent faults.
As a buyer, whatever one buys here open it, inspect and test it, don't just store it for a couple of months.

A bit of general advice:
Never feel pressured into acting or responding immediately to anything. Anytime within 24 hours is perfectly reasonable. Mull it over. Sleep on it. Ask advice here.
