Feedback

I see from yesterday eBay is prompting me to send Feedback on my latest sold items. This will not happen until I receive feedback. The reason is that some items are only looked for on eBay as a one-off purchase and the buyer may not return to ebay for maybe six months for something else. They will not be bothered with giving feedback no matter how well deserved (very good double-boxed, prompt despatec, photo of parcel etc).  With some items I find that my feedback sent is quietly received without response so I no longer bother. It is a one-way street, so don't expect me to obey, eBay. It is not going to happen. Encouraging the buyers to  initiate Feedback would solve that ideal - for me anyway.

Re: Feedback

I used to provide feedback on a regular basis to buyers, but (possibly about a year ago) ebay dispensed with the screen that showed feedback received (or not) and also a button to Give Feedback (as opposed to Reply).

Since then if I only want to give feedback to buyers who have given me feedback, I have to access about three different screens which I am not prepared to do!!!

Please ebay bring back the original screen and make it easier and quicker for sellers to give feedback!

Re: Feedback

You'll get automatic feedback if you meet the criteria.

eBay automated feedback is automatically added to the seller’s account when a transaction is successfully completed. This positive feedback gives other eBay users confidence in this seller and in our marketplace

Automated feedback from eBay will remain visible unless there is an indication that there was an issue with the transaction, for example the buyer claims that the item was damaged or they opened a return. If this happens, we will remove the automated message.

Buyers can still leave their own feedback within 60 days of delivery, in which case the automated feedback will be replaced with their updated feedback rating and comment.
