Feedback

Hello, please help. I sold a microphone via Royal Mail. I have confirmation that the buyer received the parcel. I contacted the buyer who is satisfied but claims that he cannot leave a review because only tracking is possible. I kindly ask you to change my account so that the buyer can leave me feedback.

Re: Feedback

Don't worry about feedback. Don't chase people to leave feedback. Those that want to leave feedback will do so. Ebay already chases for feedback on your behalf.

We are all chased for feedback so much these days, everywhere. It annoys a lot of people.

As a buyer I have sometimes been tempted to leave a negative, "Great product but seller bugged me for feedback." (I haven't so far.)

Re: Feedback

The is eBay's Members discussion Forum, we do not make changes to other members accounts.

Positive Feedback can be left anytime, but Neutral or Negative Feedback can be only left after a week.

Some Buyers do not like to be contacted regarding leaving a Feedback, a good percentage do not leave feedback at all.

these are public boards so none here can change your account.

A buyer has already left you positive feedback this month so there's no reason stopping buyers leaving feedback for you.

Re: Feedback

In case you are not aware, the responders to the threads on the eBay Community Forums are buyers and/or sellers, not eBay staff.  In the very rare instance that one of eBay's staff members posts a reply on a thread you'll be able to spot it very easily - the edges are surrounded with blue lines, and a mugshot of the eBay employee is also included in the top left hand corner, along with the staff member's eBay ID.

With regards to buyers leaving feedback, the best option is to allow buyers to decide for themselves whether or not they wish to leave feedback in relation to the item that they purchased.  If you insist on harassing buyers into leaving feedback for you then you may well end up aggravating them to the point where they end up leaving you the kind of feedback that you wish you hadn't received!  A buyer may have been disappointed with the product received, but not to the extent where he or she felt compelled to leave you negative feedback, having instead chosen to say nothing at all; however, if you constantly harass the buyer into leaving you feedback for the item purchased then he or she may well decide to leave you some negative feedback as a result, if only to get back at you for your relentless requests for feedback.

In the event that you do not heed this advice and subsequently end up aggravating a buyer to the point where he or she decides to leave you negative feedback then you may well be stuck with that feedback comment forever, as unless the feedback left contains something that is in clear breach of what can and cannot be said in feedback then eBay will more than likely refuse to remove it if you ask them to do so.

If it was the microphone you sold on 16th November, the buyer has left you feedback.

Look at your own feedback received as a seller to see it.
