Hi, I've encountered a problem with two sales recently to the USA where buyers have started a return because an item doesn't fit. I am a business seller and when I list I use a returns policy where I choose not to accept International returns for any other reason other than an item being defective (as shown in screenshot). Despite this returns policy ebay has auto approved a 'change of mind' return and a 'doesn't fit' return, both from the USA. Has anyone else had the same problem?
Further to this I have viewed my listings as an outside buyer changing my location to USA and other countries and a 14 day returns policy for any reason is showing as being available even though it shouldn't.
I messaged ebay about this and they were unhelpful and advised me to update my returns policy to not accept international returns (I already select a policy that doesn't!). I managed to speak to someone in Ireland who was a bit more helpful but didn't really seem to understand and advised me to change my entire policy to 'no returns accepted'. I explained I can't and don't want to do that as I am a business seller but he didn't seem to grasp that.
Just wondering if I'm missing something simple or whether some kind of glitch is at play?

As far as I am aware, as a business seller you have to accept returns for any reason even when selling internationally. That is certainly the case for sales to EU countries under the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Other countries may have different rules but I don't think it's possible to have a different return policy for other countries.

According to the EU Consumer Rights Directive, consumers (buyers) can withdraw from most distance transactions with business sellers within a set time frame ('cooling off period') without penalty and without giving any reason.
Be sure to include in your returns policies:

Thanks for this and I'm aware that I have to accept returns from the UK and EU countries for any reason but for all other locations can choose not to accept remorse returns. Maybe I've got that wrong but if there is just a blanket policy for business sellers that remorse returns have to be accepted from ALL international countries then I'm not sure why the option to accept returns can be toggled on/off when editing a returns policy.
