Lines open 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. on weekdays

9 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekends.

Automated agents will be available on chat outside of the above hours.

I do recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open, as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

@floyd_1965  Just like most things, eBay has taken something that worked and changed it to something that doesn't work that well. 

Keep telling the bot you want to talk to a customer service agent, it takes a while.   

It seems ebay must be getting too many calls so instead of wondering why it's customers are struggling with the system they make it harder for customers to get in touch.

Type AGENT into the chat assist. It will come up with an option to chat to a human or have them call you back.

all this link does is take me to the page where you have to choose what the issue is, which then takes you to live chat which yet again is greyed out and not working.

That link will take you to a ' live agent'  it needs a lot of perseverance!

 Instead of a quick option, 'Contact Us' which put you direct to a CS agent, you have to scroll past ' How Can We Help you today,  to the very bottom and click on the Contact Us below Need More Help?

That takes you to an annoying AI bot , but if you persevere keep asking questions it cannot answer and Insist on an agent,  they do finally put you through and say .... waiting time ** minutes!  Took me a good 10 minutes arguing with the bot then a 2 minute wait to speak to Dublin.

@nichwur0 You need to use the chat bot under help and keep asking for an agent. This is a public board sO I have asked to have your phone number removed.
