Despatch time - Ignore this

I have just taken an offer on an item, today is Friday 11th July 2025 and the "post your order / Get prepaid label" page says I have to post by Sunday 13th July 2025 - what happened to Working Days.   This is in addition to spending an hour on chat to Customer Support unsuccessfully trying to get the the option to change the Despatch Time / Handling Time to three days from the default I have been given of two, the option is simply missing from the page on my account.  

Just checked and the Order details show despatch by the 15th July !?    Yet another glitch in their system. Unable to delete this post, only edit.

When you actually get the label you'll see it's good for a week.

As for setting your Handling Time, are you sure it's missing as it's quite well hidden.  You need to click the pencil under Preferences.

Screen shots of the missing Despatch Time / Handling Time have been sent to Ebay Customer Services they admit it is missing and have forwarded it somewhere to Technical Support which will probably fall down a rabbit hole.  My other almost unused account has it shown!  so I know where it should be.  (I am an ex IT system designer and developer...) 

My concern about the  Sunday date is that implied it was the date that Ebay required me to post which then I found was contradicted elsewhere.  One says post by 13th July the other says post by 15th July (which is two working days) .

Thanks, CS said I would get an email with a resolution about the missing field but nothing turned up.

This is really scary!  If the eBay IT guys haven't got it right with dispatch windows being WORKING days then all of our accounts (and reputations!) are at risk of getting dinged!

It's getting to be a fiasco!  Just one problem after another.

And the solution to my problem of being unable to change my dispatch time is that sometime during the convertion to Simple Delivery my account had Business Policies set - I simply went into Business Policies and took the Opt Out option.   The field to set dispatch time/handling time appeared and I could change it to 3 days. 

Up to this point I was in a limbo where the Business Policies Postage Preferences were not being used and I wasn't getting the Simple Delivery Despatch Time field.
