This sold as a PROMOTED LISTING. I can't understand how eBay Corp. isn't shamed to be taking money for such a useless, worthless service.

I don't understand your question. I always use signed for. If something is not worth the postage it is not worth having.

I tested out promoted listings.
I did one listing with and another one without.
The one without sold first.

It depends on what you sell. I sell stamps and have always ran auctions to get a feel of market value, which fluctuates. In some cases, ones that used to sell at good prices have ended lower and the opposite is true for others. In any case, its a hobby market and I try to cater for those that have deep pockets and those that have limited budget. Up until recent changes for private sellers, sales and prices have been consistent. Its a large market and caters to all types of stamp collectors from those that collect certain eras to those that collect worldwide stamps. I have had ebay as my main source of income for over 20 years. The problems Im encountering now is that many of my buyers, sell their items to fund their hobby and their sales have screeched to a halt so my sales are in free fall. The changes to private sales means my house is harder to clear of clutter which is my main focus these days.

Not sure I have experienced this as a problem, certainly not on this ID (business) and Im switching my private sales to elsewhere due to lack of sales.

I have run BIN with promoted listings. Didn’t do a great deal so Im removing it but then Im tight and would only ever promote to 5% 😂 I give ebay enough money without extra for nothing in return on top.
