Someone found the dates yesterday and posted them. Just thought it made sense to make it easier to find.
It's in the Help Section under Opt out
Simple Delivery will be the only listing option as of 15th April and they will start adjusting current listings from the 7th April.
So at least we know where the Iceberg is now.

With 1,000 items listed (my own stuff not business) and 80% of my items selling for around £5 with an 85p 2nd class stamp postage charge what will I do? (Also today just bought £140 of stamps too before the price rise next Monday argggggggggggg). (I also have 2 business accounts before I get shouted at). So now my buyers instead of paying 85p for a simple 12g item will be charged £2.70? Just like someone buying something weighing 750g how the truck is that fair??????????
Read further on items below £10 and under 100g will be exempt. JUST HOPE THEY STICK TO THIS FOR PEOPLE LIKE ME.
What about the extra we could charge for travel time, packaging, petrol etc. I add 10p on to cover the cost of my padded envelope I've had to buy. So how will this be affected?
Still going to be a huge hassle and massive queue at my village post office having to scan even bar code on my phone and find the corresponding envelope. Going to cause lots of issues for all the people like me who post about 10 items a day using the local post box.
Any news how I go about ensuring all the 'items below £10 and/or 100g' are excluded from SD? Will I have to go into every listing and opt out of SD?
Just when you thought greedbay couldn't get any lower. Buyer protection fee hahaha and keeping your money for 2 weeks. Now this.

Just spoken to CS about the contradictory info on the Simple Delivery Information page.
"Simple" Delivery IS going to apply to all existing listings.
No way of using my stamp stock now on my standard letter and LL items, and on the low cost listings that I have stated Free Delivery on. I expect I will be charged way more than I am currently paying for postage if I allow Ebay to deduct this from my payments.
The advisor also suggested I edit all of my listings to add dimensions and weights as I don't currently have that info on my listings and it may make the postage costs nearer to what they should be. I just do not have the time to do this on 400+ listings right now. and there seems to be no option within the listings to do this anyway.
I have the option of changing everything to Buyer pays postage so the cost doesn't get deducted from my payments but I expect it will make my items way too expensive.
So much for being "Simple".
As well as ending my listings it'll also be the end of my relationship with Royal Mail so if the latter business thought it was a good idea signing up to this, they should probably have a rethink..

Just tried editing an item and selected Simple Delivery, putting in the weights and dimensions for Royal Mail only and it's more expensive than what I'd currently pay for Tracked. What a complete scam!

Another issue thats been mentioned - reports that you can't see the buyers address until you've printed the label off.
I don't post abroad as everyone I know who has, has had issues with misdeliveries and arsey buyers. So I opt out of the global shipping programme.
However, some sneaky buyers use UK based 3rd party international forwarding couriers. Usually I notice these as I always check the addresses and I cancel.
But if you can't see the address unless you print the label then I will still certainly cancel but will lose the money on the postage.
I'm out. They crossed the line now. Been closing my listings. Only got 1 up now which I left as I made an offer to the watcher.
Ebay has killed its own business.

On the 6th April (the day before they start applying Simple Delivery to existing listings) I plan to pause listings (this can be done for 30 days) to see how things pan out. This will make listings not visible to buyers, but they won't be deleted from my inventory.
Perhaps if everyone who is unhappy with forced Simple Delivery did the same it would send a message to eBay.
If Simple Delivery is the best postage option ever (as eBay claim), then I challenge them to leave it optional and see how many sellers use it by choice.
And by the way, don't waste your time with Customer Support - they usually don't know the answer and either make one up (one once told me that I was legally obliged to offer combined shipping!), or say they will 'escalate' your issue and you never hear from them again. You'd be better off asking the cat...

The Sun have an article about Simple Delivery
The following is an extract
"Sellers will be paid two days after they receive the delivery confirmation if they use one of eBay’s prepaid labels.
But experts have warned that this could cause issues for sellers if a buyer does not properly follow the instructions to confirm that an item has been delivered.
Buyers could forget to process that they have received an item and eBay has not made it clear how it will deal with this issue."
Experts eh?
That would be great, but alas there wasn't and to the best of my knowledge still isn't any way for a buyer to confirm delivery. Feedback does not count.
I do like experts. They are so helpful.

"However, some sneaky buyers use UK based 3rd party international forwarding couriers. Usually I notice these as I always check the addresses and I cancel."
I used to feel wary about these and one of the agents, I think near Slough, had a really bad rep when I searched it. But when I see it's an agent I discuss this with the buyer. I've sold a number of things especially to buyers in Africa, and things have gone fine.
But if I'm not going to see the address at the outset, goodbye ebay.

I'm going to switch mine to local collection only, to keep my 'inventory'.
BTW, cat will reply "Open. Biscuit bag. Now!".

Oh hadn't even thought about that

Don't be fooled into thinking it is Simple.
Do you really think Evri will insure a £100 item in case of loss or damage for £2.70?
Seller may still be involved with any compensation claim and if it is disputed by courier...how do you think that will turn out?...(answer: not in favour of seller)
Ebay makes it sound like everything will be smooth, simple and stress free...but If you have ever dealt with Royal Mail on a claim it can take weeks and they never want to admit responsibility.
Ebay is only making the label process easier, it is not taking the worry out of shipping high value items, it is not even giving you the opportunity for Special Delivery etc. for a safer service
It is a total nightmare and misleading sellers into thinking 'everything' is completely covered

a better option to NOT SELLING...would be someone set up a rival to Ebay

Well, switching to local collection I know will kill my already half dead sales. I only get a few in-person sales a year, though they're very good when they happen, sometimes I clear out items I'd not yet got round to listing.
But I figure it's a good way to keep my options open in case ebay relent or in case I find somewhere else that has a clue and visibility and isn't social meeja. Seems that's quite a high bar and the black bin may simplify my life.

my tracked 48 went to wrong part of country and disappeared from tracking....still waiting for a reply from RM 3 weeks later
they hate paying out, and will do anything to not do it

Wish I could code a rival site lol
