Collection only with paypal payment not showing as being paid

I am selling an item Collection only. The paypal payment is not showing as being paid should I wait for comfirmation of payment before giving my address to buyer ?

Ebay tell you when the buyer has paid,  you shouldn't know how they paid though.

Why do you think they used PayPal?

I requested paypal only, buyer states he has paid by paypal but no message from paypal, or anything showing in my account

It doesn't work like that.   Buyers can pay using PayPal but they pay ebay, not you, and they must pay through checkout to keep the sale on ebay.

Ebay then pays you as long as you have fully registered for managed payments. 

What exactly has happened so far?
