Chosen Evri as only preferred courier but still getting Royal Mail prepaid labels, how to fix ?

In postage preference, Evri is set as only courier option. While creating listing it clearly shows  Evri prepaid label will be provided but once item is sold, ebay keeps generating Royal Mail label instead of Evri. Any idea or suggestions how to fix this not so simple delivery issue!

eBay Community Manager Kat has just provided the answer below,  to a similar question asked:

In certain cases, if your preferred carrier can't accept your item, eBay will provide you with a label for a carrier you've opted out of in your settings. For example, if your parcel exceeds your preferred carrier's size or weight limits, we may send your item with an alternative carrier.

Thanks for the info.  Interesting but a bit 'wude' isn't it!  Don't think eBay considered what happens if the seller lives miles away from an Evri drop off point or their PO is in a town requiring a car or bus journey?  And how does eBay decide your item can only be sent by one or the other?  Not everyone has a safe place to leave stuff for a collection if they work away from home.  I've had stuff stolen from my vestibule when I was at home (not eBay thankfully) but it happens.  And what about those sellers who had accounts with other couriers.  I suppose those sellers impacted negatively will have to reconsider using eBay as a suitable selling platform.

eBay behave as if they own the items they are advertising.  I just don't understand why they had to remove the choice of which carrier to use when they don't own the item.   Just saying!

Are your buyers in places evri doesn’t deliver?  Or charge alot more for?

That’s the only reason I can think of that evri labels wouldn’t be provided

It wouldn’t  be for size limits as evris are bigger than RMs

If the OP is referring to the three items recently sold on this account, there is certainly no reason why either carrier would not be able to accept the parcels. (Age 8-10 dresses)

Most of the complaints on this issue are the other way around, and suggest eBay is directing business to Evri, possibly as they are struggling to reach their agreed volume with that deeply unpopular carrier. However, I can't work out why it would happen this way.

There may be questions over whether you should be operating on a private account, with so many "new" items for sale, but that shouldn't have an effect here.

That is only true in terms of the item dimensions.  In terms of the item weight it is the other way round - maximum 15Kg with Evri but up to 20Kg with Royal Mail.
