Cannot reply to posts ?.

For a while now I've noticed that I cannot reply to posts on Community. Even when I post something myself I am unable to make replies to anyone that comments on my post.

I did not think much of it until today , after noticing the buyer protection fee, and I looked at the post on here only to se that at every post the "reply" box was greyed out.

(Incidentally you only have to look at the VINTED FACEBOOK groups to se that the buyer protection fee on that site is meaningless and offers no protection whatsoever.Also 1000's of complaints about buyers claiming not received even when tracking shows different). 

Any ideas ?. 

I do not know when this started but I am sure I was replying to posts last year (2024) with no problems.

You may need to log in to the forum, even though you're logged in on the ebay site.

I'm logged in on both and I've noticed that there's simply no Reply button showing in numerous posts.

You are not alone. Until I say your post I too couldnt reply to a post that I could have helped with. NOt only it seems this is poor but have you sold anything under this new regime? Sold two items this week , both tracked, posted first one Monday second one Tuesday., Both early morning. Got paid for the first and the second one was marked as deliverd to GSP . Looked to see when I would be paid only to find that its not been marked as arriving. Just what I thought would happen. Have tried , as I say to rply to others posts , but no way to join the conversation. Another ploy to mess up private sellers and get rid of us do you think?

If you are looking at threads/posts on the 'Member to Member' board then only 'Mentors' can respond to those.

Are you sure you're logged in the boards?  I find that, on some days, my previous day's login persists - on others, I have to log in again.  This fandango started a couple of weeks ago.

Yes thats true. Mind after spending Sunday morning onto them I got "Glitches" in the system " and IT are trying to fix it. Its so complex now on here you need a degree in tax law, degree in busines stiudies and a degree in computing. Oh for the simple days you listed , got paid and sent the item off.  Oh and if you sell outside the UK you have to still pay fees. You never see that in the "Sell for free on ebay now" do you ?

If this is still happening to you? Could you please share a screenshot where we can see the reply button greyed out, so we can report this for you? In the meantime, we recommend to double check that you are fully logged in, and please try clearing your caches and cookies before trying again, just to rule out a browser issue.
