Can't withdraw my funds. Why is Ebay not allowing me to withdraw my sales receipts?

I recently sold an item and Can't withdraw my funds. Why is Ebay not allowing me to withdraw my sales receipts?

The so called 'NEW ' process says there is a 'Withdraw' option in the sellers hub which we can opt for at any time to transmit funds to our bank accounts. . If there is, it is well hidden. i have spent over 2 hours trying every screen I can find and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WITHDRAW OPTION.  This suggests to me that Ebay are deliberately witholding funds.  Why ?

Spot on. The geeks rarely have the empathy or intuition to be able to see how the end user will be able to work it. Also, they don’t problem solve.

ok I'm going to try to show you all what is happening with my funds not being released, in photo's I've taken, I've blacked out the amount as that's personnel but these clearly show something is really off with Ebay keeping my money!! As I'm only allowed to upload a max of 5 MB there will be multiple posts 🙂  first one is showing order is complete and funds are available.

This one shows the blue box with arrow which I click on.

and this one is showing that I have no hold or processing and that my funds are ready.

it's just a big mystery why Ebay are not giving them to me!

and last one is when I go to try to change the amount to what I want the screen just goes blue and I can't type anything in there, I hope this explains my problem a lot more 🙂

This last one don't try and correct the amount above,  but bottom right where it says available funds ***  is the Withdraw there ,  greyed out or in blue?

If in blue click that and then it brings you to another screen with the big bold £0 at the top where you can add all the funds or part funds to withdraw.  Once entered right down the bottom click on Send £**  now.

it's Greyed out that was me clicking in frustration and it turned buttons blue as if I'd highlighted them 😞

Good,   if that Withdraw on that page is now blue,  click on that.

It brings you to another page.

At the top... Withdraw and a Big Bold £0  

Add the amount into that big £0

Scroll to the bottom and click on Send £**  Now

it's not blue, it's grey............ I was frustrated clicking and if you click to much it highlights words/numbers to blue but it's just a highlight as soon as you click normal again it's back to grey.

Oh sorry I mis read thought clicking on it had turned it blue.

All I can suggest is to try different browser and device combinations.

For some reasons not all combination work.  Other members report switching from an iPad to laptop works. Others from Safari to Chrome,  even the app which I ussually give a battering, has helped some, as other devices didn't work.

So sorry you're having this issue,  trying to fix it all day and I'm failing . ☹️

Sadly I've already tried my Iphone/Ipad chrome, edge, safari and laptop, all the same results, I'm going to call CS tomorrow morning at 9am as this seriosuly needs sorting now and thank you for all the help, I really am greatful, it's not your fault this is soley down to Ebay, I feel they are trying to scam me!! I will report back after my phone call, and I don't think I'll be selling anymore on there even though I only do it now and then, disheartened with it all 😞

Nooo they're not trying to scam you, it's a technical issue that seems to need access to your account so the problem can be seen Customer Services have that access.

Yes, do contact them tomorrow, hopefully Dublin will answer,  and yes,  do please come backk with the answer!

One last thing to try @enigma.art.studio  .

Clear cache and cookies,  log out completely. Switch off the device.

  Switch  back on,  log back into eBay ,  and try it one more time,   from my prompts above.

So I couldn't wait until the morning to phone them as I just wanted to know what the problem was, apparently my goverment issued ID is the problem! But I wasn't informed that I couldn't use the one I'd uploaded, I don't have a passport or driving licence so was using the Gov. photo voting letter, which is what they stated they wanted on the drop down menu, it says passport, driving licence, GOV. issued document,

wish they would have told me it's no good!! I've now had to upload my birth cert. and utility bill, so we will see if this works, man on phone told me it should.......but I distrust Ebay so much now! I've had ebay for 19 years! Never changed bank account and never moved house, have 100% rating and never had a red flag against me, make it make sense!!! *rolls eyes* if my old birth cert. (pink one) doesn't work I'll have to order a new one which will take weeks!! All I want is my damn money *bleep*!!

Oh my word,  so the money was on hold,  not being able to be withdrawn because of some documentation required.

Anyway,  at least it was a matter of accessing your account to find the issue,  and that's been found.

Frustrating I agree, but you have the answer now , and know how to press forward!.

yeah it was on hold even though as my photo's show it was saying available and not on hold!! Seriously frustrating!!! I thought I was going mad lol I knew I was seeing correctly and doing everything I could, but yeah at least now I can sort it out finally!! Thanks for all your help!! 😄

You're very welcome,  I did think as you have returned to selling it may have been something to do with correct registration / verification for eBay's Managed Payments, something amiss there.

Ive been trying to use my ebay balance to buy something and cant. The item shows info 'Shop with your (edit) eBay balance.' The amount is coloured but clicking does nothing. I want to make an offer but as now you have to provide payment even if offer refused the offer auto completes to paypal. There is no option to 'pay with balance'. Editing payment method is only for different credit/debit cards. 'Apply voucher or discount ' option is only for discount codes. Seems the offer function hasnt caught up with the new balance. Havent checked re paying outright but irrelevant if wanting to offer. Have messaged seller. ...AND spellcheck says every word is wrong almost nearly all underlined Shop pay balance Apply  are ok lol lol.
