I recently sold an item and Can't withdraw my funds. Why is Ebay not allowing me to withdraw my sales receipts?
The so called 'NEW ' process says there is a 'Withdraw' option in the sellers hub which we can opt for at any time to transmit funds to our bank accounts. . If there is, it is well hidden. i have spent over 2 hours trying every screen I can find and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WITHDRAW OPTION. This suggests to me that Ebay are deliberately witholding funds. Why ?

hi, I had to upload my birth Cert. Marriage Cert. utility bill with address (has to have your FULL name, title, first and last), and also the utility bill has to be within 90 days, they didn't tell me this so I've had so many phone calls and re-uploading of documents which were all denied.........until they told me the problem eventually!! fu*kers!
hope this helps! 🙂

Something similar happened to me renewing my passport. I sent them documents and they rejected them. I had to send documents showing my entire name, first, middle and surname. Luckily I had such documents. Trouble is banks write to you using Miss. A.N. Other.

On weekdays lines open between 8 a.m. and 10 p .m.
On weekends they open between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

This should not be happening, for a dynamic company such as EBay this situation should have been fixed by now. Its leading to a bad press, its giving the impression EBay don't care

Hey, I may have the solution and it's not obvious, I found mine by accident.
"Enter the amount and the Withdrawal Button stays Gray until you hit Enter (bottom right corner on your keyboard) then the button turns Blue. Withdraw."
Hope that helps someone.

Thanks. Clicking on the arrow actually works! Totally weird that it doesn't mention this anywhere on the eBay help or guidance. It seems we always have to ask other users how to actually use this thing. So we'll done eBay community and a big, fat raspberry to eBay's own staff.

Hey, I'm really happy it helped 😊👍

I went through so much trying to get my own money, it shouldn't be this hard!! I'm just glad it's all over with now, and it's left me with a huge distrust of EBay..............CS are not good at telling you exactly what you need to do in regards to documents you need to upload if you don't have a passport or driving licence.
If they had been better I would have been paid a long time ago! But finally I can now relax and not feel like I'm wading through mud constantly!! 😄
Thanks for all the help here!!
Isn't this the real problem?
From what I read on here it seems that CS has a script for everything, except how to get your money paid out promptly. (Luckily I've never had to deal with them.)
These are the same problems that so many had when trying to register for MP (how many years ago?).
So why hasn't ebay given them a script for this that pinpoints exactly what the problem is and what those suffering from it need to do to get round it, they've had several years to work on it so that everyone can get their money in hours. Not days, or weeks. I ask myself why haven't they done that?
Why does the final decision still rest with a back-office in the US which only seems to add to the delays as they don't seem to know enough about UK documents to speed up the process.
Is this going to be repeated every time ebay decides to change the way it pay sellers?
And finally why does the introduction of ebay's wallet require yet more (re)verifying when everything was already verified when signing-up to MP?
STILL no working Spell-Check???????????????

hi, click payments, click arrow at top of blue box with your funds balance in - go to the very bottom of the white box - right to bottom past all the faqs info - the Withdraw option is in Blue box bottom right corner - just enter what you want to withdraw and confirm - took me forever to find it but i never went down past the faqs info - just thought i am going to bottom of every box / page that pops up and hey presto there it was. good luck people hope you find this useful 🙂 Laptop User x

You are correct and these intructions have been repeated before, but those still finding issues, it's usually a case of the wrong or insufficent documentation required, which only eBay Customer Services with access to those accounts, can advise, how to move forward and explain the documents required.

Hi All,
I don't know if this helps anyone but I only use Ebay via my pc. When they first introduced the withdraw payments option, I was able to access it via the payments tab, where I had a big blue box showing how much I had in my account and was able to withdraw my money to my bank account with no problem at all.
However, this has now disappeared for some reason. The only way I have just been able to access my money, is by logging in to the ebay app on my wife's phone.
Hopefully this is just a glitch for pc / laptop users and they will rectify it soon, but they should at least let everybody know! Not everyone wants to use apps (or smartphones for that matter!)

Agree with the last sentence…it makes me very un -appy. 😆

I've mentioned this before on this forum @hollyh321 not only will I not use apps my phone is still the ol' Nokia brick type .
Friends and family despair but I need a phone to make a call, or send a text, not to receive countless emails or emojis! 😊
19-11-2024 12:18 PM
Absolutely agree with your sentiments exactly. My mobile does calls and texts only, and when people send me emojis they come through as just empty squares, got no idea what emoji it is. When eBay told me to get the app and I said no because people complain about them, the CS spoke to me like I was completely mad!!
19-11-2024 12:27 PM
Well you cetainly do not need the app for selling or buying on eBay. If that day does cometh, that's me gone!
Granted, now sellers selling a collection item, the app is used to scan a collection code, this to prove collection, but still not a necessity, as those numbers can be manually entered into the order details.
Yep, emojis come through to me as empty squares, makes me smile!

Great to hear I'm not the only one still using a basic phone! 😂
I'm using Microsoft Edge on my pc, so there must be a problem there, we logged in to my account via my wife's laptop that also has Microsoft Edge and still the same problem.
Just strange that it all worked fine a couple of weeks ago, hopefully they'll sort the problem soon 🙂
19-11-2024 2:16 PM
I like to think we are in an exclusive club using those phones! I was recently told the original ones still with their box sold, can reach 4 figures !!
Yep, from time to time , seems some browsers start to fail and throw up glitches.
Try Chrome ( touch wood) I've never had an issue with a laptop and Chrome, and eBay do say it's the most compatible browser.
19-11-2024 2:38 PM
I agree with you Tressy.
I use Chrome on my desktop (Windows 10) no problem. 3 or 4 clicks, money withdrawn (from 'My Account') and in my bank in a few hours.
