I recently sold an item and Can't withdraw my funds. Why is Ebay not allowing me to withdraw my sales receipts?
The so called 'NEW ' process says there is a 'Withdraw' option in the sellers hub which we can opt for at any time to transmit funds to our bank accounts. . If there is, it is well hidden. i have spent over 2 hours trying every screen I can find and there is ABSOLUTELY NO WITHDRAW OPTION. This suggests to me that Ebay are deliberately witholding funds. Why ?

Firstly are you sure there is no hold on your payouts because you have returned to selling after a long break and payouts can be held for 21 days until delivery can be proved with tracking. This is a security measure because sudden selling activity raises red flags to eBay, it could be a sign the account is hijacked, eBay need proof the real owner of the account has returned.
Have you fully registered for eBay's Managed Payments?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/
This has to be up and running, accounts verified for use. Only then, can you withdraw your payouts this way:
Click on Payments >> Summary then any payout available for immediate withdrawal, is available for you, in a big blue banner.
Click on that Withdraw > arrow, you may need to log in again, or even verify your account by receiving a text or email code.
On the pop up screen which appears, click on Withdraw found at the bottom of that screen. You will see £0.00 at the bottom, at the top a larger £0. There, manually enter the amount you wish to withdraw. Bottom right click on > Withdraw.
I am using a laptop and Chrome to receive these views.

Withdrawing funds and some facing difficulties can also boil down to the device and browser you're using.
Some find it not possible on the app, some find switching to the app works.
Some find it's a browser issue and when switching to Chrome or Firefox, it suddenly works for them.
Strange but it does seem, for some, one just needs to find thatt device / browser combination and it will work for you.
Could well be as it's a new system, for the time being, it's just not working correctly on all of the above, who knows !

Who knows the full reason for this change? eBay certainly will not reveal it. However, it was I believe trialled out in Germany with great results!
Yep, money being held will accrue interest, no fees for Private Sellers, they need to claw back money from somewhere, eBay is not a ' Free Listing site'. Though perhaps this is not the sole reason for the change.
Money though does not have to be left a second longer than need be, buyers are allowed to withdraw their payouts, if required, immediately. Some have said it takes days to appear in their bank account, but that's the banks processing times, some are faster than others.
I believe the thought process for this ' eBay Balance' and it proved to be the case in Germany is that the balance is used by some, for purchases on eBay, and this is where it's proved a successful change for eBay.
It's here to stay, whatever the reasoning behind it !

Well I have jumped through many hoops, lit fires, burned the whole world down and I STILL have NOT received my money!! I've had multi phone calls, been asured that my money will get released, even been told by 'Kenny' that he would personnally handle my case and get this sorted, he's supposed to call me back this morning........nothing yet, he also told me my first document that I uploaded WAS a GOV.isued Doc. (I have no passport or driving licence so uploaded my GOV. isused Voting letter) and so my funds should have been released then and there!! instead I was told to upload my brith Cert. and utility bill (which I did and it still got denied!!) He's now supposed to be in contact with the USA Ebay to tell them this.............I'm loosing my damn mind with it all!!!! Just give me MY money already!!! Extremely angry and frustrated!!!

I'm running windows 11 23h2 fully updated. I use Firefox as my defaut browser. I could do nothing. The advice I got did not work. I sent screenshots and nothing worked. I tried MicrosoftEdge and there was all the details how to withdraw.

It is "digital" money and does not accrue interest. It's a myth that eBay can make money on held funds.

Try using Windows Edge
People have more luck using that browser
Enter the amount you want to withdraw into the box that says £0
Do not enter it into the box that says £0.00
Only enter it into the box that says £0
It DOES make a difference

Have you withdrawn successfully before now?

Yes of course ..

Yeah like you I couldn't find the withdraw option and had to contact eBay for instructions.
Just another pathetic change from eBay to annoy their sellers. Just like not now being able to stop BIN items from auto relisting. All it needs is 2 tick boxes, 1 to say 'Automatic Payouts' and 2 to say 'No Automatic Relists' or something similar. The default for searching for items should be UK Only and if I wish to search for Chinese items I can then select that just as I have to to select items from the European Union or elswhere. It is so east to buy an item only after paying to realise it is coming from China.

It works on Chrome, it does not work on Edge. Surely this is a simple thing to put right???

We're not only being constrained by high fees, but also by the inability to access our money. Consequently, buyers question why we can't reduce the cost of goods, instead of having to increase prices to offset these expenses.🤦🏼♂️

You couldn't make this stuff up even if you tried. Honestly And Chrome doesnt work too for me..

The new payout foxed me to start off with ,I kept pressing the withdraw button but nothing happened and then I discovered you have to type the amount in where the £ shows with the 0 next to it and straight away my money went to my bank .It is a bit confusing the blue box with the little white circle with arrow in it ,you think you click on that and your money is released but you have to type the amount in that you want .

I have only a gray withdraw button and cannot enter any amount. Additionally, three web browsers are useless, and the app does not work.
