I am a little confused with someone's question regarding an item I have up for auction as collection only. They are saying they are unable to bid (they are from Southern Ireland, I from the UK). Is there restrictions on who bids from where or is this potential scam?
If there is restrictions how/can I edit this?

Ireland are in EU so you would have to put international postage on for them to bid and they can't collect it. You don't have to offer international postage, am surprised that they could see it listed, usually unless international postage is in the listing it's not visible outside of UK

Though that is how one might think it should be, unfortunately it seems that anyone anywhere can see your listings, even if said listings are UK only. What they can't do is bid. My "Buyer Requirements Activity log" is full of overseas people getting blocked because they are in a country I don't post to.

Just an idea.
Maybe they have business to attend to in the UK and would intend to collect your item at the same time.
Or maybe they have friends or family in the UK who could collect on their behalf.
Just because they are registered at a particular address does not mean they can't collect from another.
As I say, just a thought.
