Hello, I sold an item which i posted on monday by 2nd class, I always get proof of posting, now today the buyer as bombarded me with messages demanding to know where his item is, i explained to him when i posted it he as told me he his going to report me to ebay, I have checked the tracking number and it tells me it was delivered yesterday i have told the buyer this, yet he keeps messaging me ask where is the photo of it being delivered, I am now fed up and thinking of giving ebay up.

If the buyer opens an 'Item not received' dispute then as you have tracking showing 'Delivered' eBay will find in your favour. Just make sure the tracking is uploaded to the transaction if you haven't already done so and then also enter it into the dispute if one is opened.

make sure you have put the tracking into the transaction.

Consider Blocking this eBayer, so he cannot buy from you again.

Definitely!
Here we go, block them here.

There is also an option here to stop the buyer contacting you too which is very useful.

Don't give up on Ebay because of one annoying buyer. (I had to think of a word that won't be bleeped so that is more polite than in my head.) We all get them!
Ignore any further messages.
If you reply at all, keep it polite and simple.
'As tracking shows your item has been delivered, I can only suggest you open a case through Ebay and we correspond through the case.'
And leave it there.

Dunno they seem to be coming out like a swarm at the moment.

Always go with Tracked48, it's only a margin more than 2nd class, but it's fully tracked and with photo.

It's autumn. Rotting fruit on the ground, alcohol, the insects get drunk.

Thank you he messaged me this morning saying he ask the postman and he said no he hadn't delivered it on Wednesday then messaged me again saying it had just arrived by second post and why did I say it was delivered Wednesday he as left feedback saying happy now but late

I've just had feedback left, it is positive, but an essay on the issues with the local RM service. No idea why they think that will be of any interest to anyone reading my feedback generally, totally beyond my control and yes, unfortunate, but he knew it was RM when ordered...

At least the Royal Mail did not leave the item on the doorstep where it could have been stolen.

Yes you would have thought that would have been seen as a bonus 🤔.
This was a £50 box set too.
Of course I had the old 'where is my parcel' routine and just screenshotted the same list of 30 events they could have seen by er., clicking a button. I dispair sometimes.

Second post no longer exists - it was a abolished over 20 YEARS ago
Buyer was trying to scam you and didn't realise you had proof of delivery

Maybe, but round here we sort of do have second post again.
Many 24/48 packages are delivered at random times in addition to the walking round earlier in the day, usually in the afternoon, so maybe, just maybe that's what the buyer meant.
I've even had people wearing RM hi-viz vests but in their own cars delivering RM parcels at 7pm on a Sunday.
I lived in Hammersmith many many years ago and sometimes we'd get 3rd post. I did live very close to the BBC and that sorting office opened 7 days a week, part funded by the beeb.

How did the postie manage to scan the QR code yesterday though......
It's a common scam, when you tell them you have proof of delivery the parcel always miracuously appears
Many people still don't realise small/medium parcels have free proof of delivery, as assume as it wasn't sent "tracked" that you have no proof of delivery so they can get a free item

Ah missed that, yep, scammer central then 😀

When the buyer contacted me yesterday to say no parcel had arrived I checked the tracking number and it said it had been delivered on Wednesday, but buyer would not be told kept asking for pictures
