I was getting my funds within 24 hours but I had two buyers request to cancel 2 orders each for reasons such as “found better price elsewhere” and “bidding too high and couldn’t justify the price anymore” so i thought i’d be kind and cancel the order for them but now it appears im getting the funds 2 days after delivery again? Is this something ebay customer support will be able to fix or will I have to wait the 12 months?

@harrdelane7 i suppose it depends what reason you selected. Canceling because buyer wants to does not give a defect.

Just make sure the buyers are putting official cancellation requests in, where all you do is then accept or decline the cancellation. If that is the case, you shouldn't have been penalised. If however, you are the one initiating the cancellation process (even if the buyer has messaged you directly and requested it), it counts as a defect against you. Buyers are getting clever with this, because they know if they start initiating too many cancellations, ebay in theory, will look into it.

Hi harrdelane7, thanks for your post.
You wouldn't be waiting 12 months for your funds. Depending of the status of those payments, the refund might come from your eBay balance or selling costs payment method that you have on file, and then you get to keep the payment from the buyer once it clears to compensate the refund of the cancellation you accepted. However, this depends of the status of the payments in question.
If you need further assistance, let me know the item numbers, and I'd be happy to look into it for you.
Thank you,
Marco

Isnt that an ebay function ? I Know ebay dont like contacting Buyers, but they make the rules and sometimes the users need to know what to do.
