Buyer purchased from two new eBay accounts

Hi, I wonder what you guys make of this.

A buyer purchased two identical items from me 4 minutes apart, from two separate newly created accounts.

This seems strange behaviour to me. What possible reason could there be for this, am I being targeted for some reason, should I be worried, should I just fulfil the orders?

Really appreciate some sensible answers please, thanks.

Are there any laws/regulations regarding products that you sell that might arouse the interest of authorities?

I didn't look at your listings, so am just thinking out of the box.

Are you certain what you sell are originals and not copies?

I'm a registered nutritionist and sell my own products. I am regulated by the FSA, registered with my local council, and HMRC so yes all is legal and above board.

Could be guest accounts? Buyer bought one then decided to buy a second one?

Fair enough. So my mind now goes down reverse engineering.

Would it be worth the time/effort to reverse engineer your products?

Someone else copying your products.

Sorry, don't mean that as an insult, just don't know anything about your market.

Not quite. You are selling on a private account which is for sellers who are selling their own unwanted items and not for business sellers. This means you are not complying with Consumer Law or paying any Ebay fees.

Maybe the 2 sales are test purchases from Trading Standards?

Showing my ignorance now, I didn't know that was possible.

I wish they gave an example of what the username would look like just to be sure. However both the usernames begin with the first three letters of the buyer's last name and then random numbers, so could possibly be guest accounts then.

I'm flattered to think that anyone would want to reverse engineer my products. Tbh they're just not that exciting or valuable, just useful for people on restricted diets.
