Buyer false claim item not as described or on the photos

The items are perfect fine no scratches nor damage, just the brown tape when peel off left some sticky bits, which can be easily removed by hand or cloth. But buyer try to claim refund just because if this. He tried to claim refund because the items arrived one day late than estimated time( but this is eBay's systematic problem buyer bought item 22:00 in the evening, I bought the collection for Friday, just add tracking number eBay start to count from that day, which is ridiculous). I think the buyer either change his mind or try to scam for discount or free stuff.

what will happen next? Will eBay force me to return and pay for all delivery costs out and in bound?

If they have opened an item not as described case then yes. You will need to accept the return and pay for a return label and give them a full refund

For a private seller you seem to have an awful lot of brand new desk phones - do you own a hotel?
