Buyer Protection Fee

It’s not surprising sales are dropping off. I have just sold 4 philatelic items for a total of £16.30 and I see that a BFP of £3.55 has been added to the order. That is over 20% of the original price. In this instance the buyer seems to be prepared to pay it. I wonder however how many other buyers would cancel.

Buyers (in almost all scenarios) see the BPF upfront - i.e. the item price they see includes the BPF.

And many people were trying to sell items for e.g. 99p before BPF! Not many buyers for the same items at £1.75.
