Are eBay's max parcel sizes correct? Info contradictory

Are the stringent Stupid Delivery instructions actually correct on parcel size?  Max length is given at around 60cm & I am aware (as will be anyone who used EVRI before) that is about half of EVRI's general max length which is 120cm.  Like so many others, I'd assumed this was a problematic result of a rather ill-informed contract between eBay & EVRI but to-day came across this:  https://www.ebay.co.uk/help/selling/posting-items/setting-postage-options/simple-delivery?id=5575  which gives the max length as the usual 120cm.

Which is it?

At present I have a parcel I would have sent by EVRI formerly (because it fits their sizes) but now apparently cannot send at all because it is longer than eBay permits.

They're basically using Royal Mail small and medium parcel sizes, but for Evri as well.

There's a thread on here about how to send anything over 61cm length. Find it and there should be a bypass for the whole Simple Delivery thing and you can use your own postage.

But the question is ARE those size limitations correct because on a different eBay page (link above) they clearly state that EVRI's max length IS 120cm - just as it is in the rest of the UK.  Follow the link to see this, specifically about Simple Delivery:

  • For an EVRi parcel shop drop-off – no side exceeds 120cm in length, the volume is no more than 245cm. To calculate the volume, add together the two shortest sides and multiply it by two, and then add the length
