A 'Petition'

In one particular thread about 'Simple Delivery' which I've been active in over the past few days, the suggestion has been made that someone - ie., me, an eBay member of 25 years - should start a petition.

With seemingly thousands of posts in numerous threads from members extremely displeased with both SD and the closely-associated BPF - which effectively replaced the 'Sellers Fee' that we all used to pay - perhaps it may be an idea to consolidate the strength of feeling in one place?

So, here it is - the closest we can likely get to an actual petition on this board - and please, keep it simple.

If you object to the mandatory implementation of 'Simple Delivery' and would like it either scrapped altogether, or made optional so those who wish to can use it - please simply post:

Make SD Optional

And as the 'Buyer Protection Fee' is having negative impacts on us as sellers (and buyers, which many of us are too), and would like eBay to revert to the old 'Seller Fees' system (none of us can reasonably expect this platform to be run for free) then please simply post:

BPF - Revert to Seller Fees

Unless you only wish to register an opinion on one or the other, I don't see any reason why both SD and BPF cannot be included in single posts. 

Maybe, if enough of us make our voices heard in one place, so the powers-that-be can see clearly, they might - just might - listen. Over to you.

   AGREE  , MAKE CUSTOM OPTIONAL .   S.D is not workable for many established PRIVATE SELLERS. 

 SCRAP BUYERS FEES and revert to  FEES FOR SELLERS AS WAS FOR MANY  GOOD YEARS. 

  In trying to out smart the competition with  IDEAS  they are destroying their core business model . 

  ..........and how does  AUTO  POSITIVE FEEDBACK AFTER 7 DAYS HELP !!!   .

Make SD optional - nothing simpler than allowing me to choose my parcel size, courier service, or even additional parcels after selling.

Revert to seller fees - it's basically what 'buyer protection fee' is anyway, without having to faff with the numbers.

Agreed , what a mess up of a good working system before S.D.  .......al least give back the  CUSTOM DELIVERY option. ..........I wonder if Ebay is listening !!!

I had done the same to make my prices look neater and now it’s back to square one and having to work out costs again. It’s a shambles.

Be carefull what everyone asks for, as companies have a way of hearing what benefits them and reverting to the higher sellers fees although simpler is more costly to us sellers.

So all this cry to revert to sellers fees they might do that and try to make out they are listening and start charging that 13% they used to charge, lets not forget what costs it used to be, easy enough to work around if we are getting charged less. Below what we are getting charged now.

• A flat fee of up to £0.10 per item, and
• 7% of the item price up to £20, and
• 4% of any portion of the item price from £20 to £300, and
• 2% of any portion of the item price from £300 to £4,000

Yes I am bringing this chestnut up again as I don't want to pay more if I sell something, even the lower price item issue has been resolved.

I do really really hate this SD though so I'm all for that cause, please bring this up as much as you like for that one, the SD is a complete mess which whoever thought of that should be sacked!
