Ebay have removed the selling limit from my account:
But, you can still list or sell up to 999999925 items more to reach your 1000000000 monthly limit. Or you can list or sell up to £1,017,762,021.81 more to reach your £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit.
But I don't sell much so why remove the limit?
I don't receive multiple offers interactions or questions so why do it?
If I ever receive an offer or question it is usually a dealer trader, just one member, where is the 'public'??
What do ebay get out of this because I was told it was a test...
A test for what?
9 feedback, 41 sales, 57.1 positive feedback and I am 'above standard' Member since: 04 Aug, 2022
£1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit as a private seller.
Appreciate your thoughts!

"Appreciate your thoughts!"
No idea what is going on but looking at your profile you cite here it's dreadful -
Feedback given and left, plus 57.1% rating points to severe restrictions.

Appreciate your reply. I have been told there are no restrictions on my account. 1000000000 monthly limit.

"57.1 positive feedback and I am 'above standard'" have you checked your seller dashboard via your feedback page as i cannot see how you can be above standard with such a low feedback figure.
Iv'e seen sellers go below standard on 85%.
The message you got from Ebay may be the wrong message ,they do this frequently.
If you go below standard it is nigh on impossible to recover as you would have to sell a lot of items and get glowing feedback from all buyers in the short time Ebay give you to do so.
If you don't do so in the given time they usually suspend your selling ability.

I appreciate your response. I have checked my seller level:
Current seller level Above Standard As of 20 April, 2024

Must be a late April Fool's on eBay's part then, there's no way you can be above standard with a feedback percentage of 57%. 😀

I appreciate your reply. I am above standard, you can still list or sell up to 999999925 items more to reach your 1000000000 monthly limit. Or you can list or sell up to £1,017,762,021.81 more to reach your £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit.

Those figures are as nonsensical as you being above standard.

You would have most of your feedback left for others removed and several sanctions placed on your account if the recipients decided to report them. I should think this might finish your account off completely.
You are not allowed to leave negative feedback for buyers.

My thoughts?
Stick to driving the van, although preferably not on roads open to the public

You have not answered the question not sure why you received thumbs for that comment.
But, you can still list or sell up to 999999925 items more to reach your 1000000000 monthly limit. Or you can list or sell up to £1,017,762,021.81 more to reach your £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit.
Above standard on 57.1% feedback! With no restrictions confirmed directly from an ebay rep!

It's nice to see other private sellers backing each other up!
But nobody has a genuine answer as to why ebay would keep my account at 57.1% on above standard.
With a monthly selling limit of 1000000000 items and a monthly limit of £1,017,774,560.66.

I suspect someone might be playing silly beggars. I recently got my limited removed in this business account, and no limit section shows no maximum number if items to list and no maximum value, unlike my other account which show both a quantity and value limit.
I can remember once upon a time none of my accounts had a limit on items or in value, but got gradually introduced and all eventually has limits, I think in this account it was £350,000 and umpteen thousand items, so I can't imagine why they should have removed the limit when I'm never likely to go anywhere near.
But no limit shows as simply that. Well, it does on my account!

If they had removed the limit there would be no quantity or value - because there is no limit!

You're just trying to wind up folks. You'll need to get up earlier.

What a stupid response to a genuine question. Receiving a thumb for that makes it worse. The public can read this post and make up their own minds!

Can you post a screenshot of your selling limits allocation please.

Not the "specialist" answer I expected. I am not winding anyone up. This is fact. 1000000000 monthly limit. £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit.
57.1% feedback Above Standard. NO restrictions and listing daily. What is going on????

If true, the numbers are irrelevant.
57.1% feedback Above Standard. NO restrictions............
For the time being.
