1000000000 monthly limit. Private sellers. £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit. Why?

Ebay have removed the selling limit from my account: 

But, you can still list or sell up to 999999925 items more to reach your 1000000000 monthly limit. Or you can list or sell up to £1,017,762,021.81 more to reach your £1,017,774,560.66 monthly limit.

But I don't sell much so why remove the limit?

I don't receive multiple offers interactions or questions so why do it?

If I ever receive an offer or question it is usually a dealer trader, just one member, where is the 'public'??

What do ebay get out of this because I was told it was a test...

It's not easy to tell from the screen shots, but I am not sure those emails are legit. 

Are they in your eBay account inbox or have they just arrived as emails?

Ebay usually address sellers by their first name, not their account name.

Yes, but did the email arrive in your eBay account email when you log into your seller account, or did it just arrive in your ordinary email account?

Well in that case, I would recommend you stop wasting time on here and get listing.

A feedback score of 57.1% isn't going to improve itself.

I don't need to improve my account because 57.1% is above standard in the eyes of ebay and should be the same for every private seller.

All private sellers should have the equal opportunity be able to list 1000000000 items over £1000000000

Creating a post on here for the general public private sellers to see isn't wasting time!

Maybe I should be reporting this to HMRC to look into the workings of ebay itself in making it a fair equal selling platform for everyone!

I rather get the impression that is your credibility that is more in question than the mentors or the rest of us!  As a private seller myself i doubt that e bay would give any of us that kind of limit especially those with atrocious feedback results.

You think 57.1% is good for a private seller - you are living in la la land then.  As a buyer i would not touch someone with that figure.  I might go as low as in the 80s after reading the feedbacks but would not even look at someone in the 50s.   That is the point of feedback!   As a private seller i spend enough time keeping my account going with 70/80 items, if i had that many to sell then it would be because i was a business seller.   Maybe some of we private sellers do not believe your facts, as they say it is 'your truth' not ours.   As for the disable lady you are talking about she obviously wanted someone to agree with her not actually help her which quite a few did try to.

Ebay have removed the limits for quite a few sellers (including private sellers) - there was mention of it on the boards a short time ago.

Feedback percentage does not affect Seller's standard, that is down to late defects, not refunding etc.
