I successfully claimed Packlink for a lost pc motherboard £60 plus basic postage cost of £2.85 plus VAT and not the fully insured price I payed of £6.66. Anyhow I am awaiting payment but noticed in their email this statement
"The customer shall be deemed to notify Auctane, S.L.U, if proceeds, the fact that the lost shipment has been located and to refund the compensation paid by Auctane, S.L.U. In the event of such a breach, Auctane, S.L.U reserves the right to take legal proceedings against you, to recover the above concepts."
How long am I liable to pay this back? The parcel went missing on the 5th December and I have refunded the ebay customer once they confirmed it was lost on the 19th December and to this day tracking has stopped. You can only imagine the hassle if it gets delivered relying on the customer to send it back honestly and not hold on to it or it may be damaged so I cant sell it if it does get returned, etc .
The statement is a bit worrying as I wonder whats liability time limit.
