Is anyone else fed up with the change to Simple Delivery? This is not "simple", it is impractical and can end up with either losing out on incorrect postage or if you go up to the next level of postage it could be more than you would have charged had you had the option (as always before) to charge your own amount. This could lead to buyers giving negative feedback on your postage charges. Until recently you could go to advanced options and choose your own method of sending but it appears that has now been taken away from us!! I have found Evri to be unreliable and, if you've seen the videos online, take pride in throwing your parcels from one end of the van to the other (not all employees I hasten to add) and to use Royal Mail I usually have to queue for approximately 30 minutes just to get my proof of postage which is not viable either. Very disappointed that EBay seem to have changed a process that has worked extremely well for more years than I care to remember.
There seems to be lots of EBay members unhappy with this change and with all the other recent changes seller control now seems to be eroding. I realise they have to make their money elsewhere now you can sell for free but I think changes such as simple delivery will lead to members leaving the platform as it is not “Simple” it is restricting. Anyone else agree?

Just as a follow on to my initial post and everyone’s apparent total dissatisfaction with Simple Delivery, I sent two items last Monday following sales on Sunday night, both at exactly the same time from exactly the same place, one using the enforced Simple Delivery and the other from an old listing that had maintained my choice of courier with Yodel (who I always used). Yodel was cheaper and lo and behold it arrived over whole day earlier than the Evri parcel, both similar distances in the UK. More evidence I think that this new SD system is worse than when we had choices, aside from the numerous different problems that sellers appear to be having now. Why won’t EBay eat humble pie and realise they have made a mistake on this occasion and revert back to the right of choice?
We have been told that other couriers are being considered, in my humble opinion I would imagine Yodel would be one of the choices. Keep an eye on eBay Announcements , or this forum hopefully the date for this will be announced soon .
I think everyone has experiences, good and bad with couriers. Mine is that we have a superb Evri lady always on time, sends me countless messages when to expect my item , it's a brilliant service. My one recent experience with Yodel , the item was left outside, no doorbell was rung, and by chance it was spotted much later, as it was the day of those big rains at night , and my item would have been ruined.
I've always said it's not the Company itself but the person employed and working in your area, you could be lucky like we are with Evri , or dismal deliveries are, I promise, experienced with other couriers too.

if you sell an item for what you advertised it for how have you lost out?
How are you doing the post, buyer pays or free delivery in which you pay?
Personally I like this SD, I pick buyer pays, chose the weight and thats it, the price is set.
Goods sell, print label, and send. Loads of shops now take evri even post office
There is no way i can send a parcel cheaper than the this price set by SD, and in most cases the delivery appears to be quicker.
the beauty of sd is if goods are lost, ebay cover it all. use custom and any loses its your fight.
I believe it puts an end to all those who used to charge far too much for posting.
increase you item price if concerns over packing material.

Prior to the introduction of the simple delivery I quite happily arranged postage with the courier of my choice, on my terms. If I had an issue with Royal Mail for example, I could cancel the label and receive a refund in a few days, for Ebay to take up to fourteen days is ridiculous. I have removed all my listings and won't be selling again on Ebay as long as they operate this system. I sometimes wonder if they are just trying to get rid of private sellers,
