Simple Delivery - label not used

Hi,

As with most of us I am now forced to use Simple Delivery and I don't like it or being forced to use it and my already listed items amended to simple Delivery.

I use free delivery on my items.

What happens if its listed on my items as Simple Delivery but if an item is sold I send it via Royal Mail Click & Drop or pay at the Post Office and don't use the QR Code or label???

Up to now I have never used Simple Delivery always used custom postage

Is the postage label money taken off my items price regardless of if I use the QR code or not

thanks in advance

Re: Simple Delivery - label not used

If you use ' free postage'  meaning Seller pays,   and  you use your own postal service / charges,  you need to manually  cancel the label for a refund,  and must do so within 14 days.

Cancel the label here :

Find your label with this link . https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/lmng/labels-history/seller-hub and to the left of the sales record there is a drop down menu under 'Actions' click on that , then click on 'Void Label'.

Re: Simple Delivery - label not used

Thanks tressygirl

Just had an interesting conversation with Ebay customer services, they use Royal Mail Tracked 48 as the default service on anything values unto £750.

Tracked only has compensation of unto £150

The advisor told me that Ebay cover the loss

hmmm...

Re: Simple Delivery - label not used

That is the policy. The buyer gets the money back from ebay, not from Royal Mail, Evri nor the seller, in theory.

I don't know what happens if - the item is delivered but (apparently) stolen from the doorstep nor (apparently)  been tampered with - e.g. empty box delivered nor if someone determines the item wasn't protected enough from damage, ... etc.

Yes.

You can claim it back, but who knows what ebay will think about sellers avoiding Simple Delivery just because they don't like it.
