Simple Delivery compensation

Just to say that I only used once, so far so good.

However, some items I sell are more than £200, and I don't I feel comfortable using just Royal Mail 24 or 28.

After double checking with eBay's CS, I was told that:

*Royal Mail Special Delivery isn't provided.

*if a parcel is lost or damaged,  the courier will cover it all if via Simply Delivery.

It sounds too good to be truth, coz in that case,  I don't need to use Special Delivery and there's no need to worry for some worse case scenarios. However, I still have doubts because I asked 2 CS persons to send me the link of T&C. They promised and yet didn't. I found it a bit tricky, because even RM Special Delivery only covers £2000 or £2500 at maxium. Some luxury items, say a Rolex or Hermes would pass the limit easily.

Does anyone know where I can find this T&C?

Thanks.

Why should we have to find the T&Cs to understand the compensation process? Go to any large courier and it's very clear when you are checking out how much the item is covered for using the service that you have chosen.  eBay need to make this clear in the Simple Delivery pages and process when purchasing the delivery label.  They are deliberately doing this to try and avoiding paying out claims.

Surely the basics are made clear when you list your item? When you select Simple Delivery, there is a "how it works" link that displays a pop up telling you that your item is fully covered for loss or damage, and that eBay will take care of any claims without your intervention.

"Our hassle-free protection covers the full item price if it's lost or damaged in transit. eBay resolves delivery issues directly with your buyer and carrier."

I'm not sure how they could make it any clearer?

No one has been into to your account.

Look back ,  you asked  a question about compensation,  in this thread under the main subject title of   Simple Delivery Compensation . Asked on the 2nd of September and answered the same day.

This thread has just run on, so don't worry your account has not been hacked!

I'm not sure what question you are referring to, you haven't posted on here since 2nd Sept last year when you contributed to this old thread.

As it now has new replies, you have been sent a notification.

Has any one had the problem were eBay is taking the shipping money although using your own shipping and uploading tracking. There not refunding the shipping they have for simple shipping ?

Yes - because they expect you to use the label. Going on your recent sales, you would have had to fill in a form on every sale to get a refund of the unused label. If the customer paid for delivery separately, they will get a refund in 30 days.

but, you are yet another seller who is a business trading incorrectly on a private account. You are aware if you upgraded, you could charge whatever you wanted for postage and not have this hassle.

and you’d be trading legally.

Ok thanks for the details and clarifying that. It’s clearly away for eBay to make more money out of people as filling out a form every order is crazy thanks.

Jus like how trading on a private account and not accepting returns is a way for you to make more money. Crazy.
