Simple Delivery Combined Postage Help Please

Hi, I have read a few posts on Simple Delivery including comments that there is a 'good' workaround.

Can anyone set out a really clear and basic guide on how to combine postage under the new Simple Delivery.  Or signpost this if it already exists. 

As a buyer I've had problems - combined postage being automatically offered at checkout but it's extortionate, example £7 for 3 small items which would fit in a normal small under 1kg package.

I'm looking for advice for small hobby sellers like myself. Thank you.

As a Buyer, the best workaround is to message the Seller and see if they will end the listings and relist as a bundle for you (thus combining P&P). Most Sellers are aware that Simple Delivery combined postage has glitches, and are happy to help.

Not very workable for auctions though ( but really, cancelling, relisting again as a bulk lot for the buyer is a good use of the Sellers time?) - maybe those who get paid to make these mind blowing systems should have their salaries withheld until they are proven to work - Unless, of course,  ebay like the extra monies from the buyer paying multiple postage costs, even if its only for a short period.
