Royal Mail claims form virtually impossible?

Hi,

Trying to submit a claim for an item I believe is lost but no matter what I do, it rejects the tracking number which is definitely right!  Anyone encountered this / got any suggestions? Thanks

What is the tracking number?  Does it work on the RM Tracking website?

I uploaded tracking for an international item once put put a zero instead of an O.  It is easy to make an error.

Yeah, works perfectly to track.  However, on the claims form, I fill it all out and then when AI click to go onto the next stage, it says there's an error on the page and highlights the tracking box in red.

In that case, I would get a form from the Post Office and make the claim via post.

@ohdearyme29  You're not trying to claim too soon, are you?

You haven't given any details of when the item was posted or by which service but, for example, if you were using Tracked 48 you wouldn't be able to submit a claim until 7 working days after the latest estimated delivery date.

As an example if you posted Tracked 48 on Monday 03rd June the latest delivery date would be Wednesday 05th and +7 working days would give you Friday 14th, so the earliest date you could start a claim for loss would be Monday 17th June.

I have a feeling that trying to claim to soon may be the cause of your issue.

Just trying to help...

Hello, I am having the same issue. Did you find a way to fix this?

The same issue as in the Tracking Number you enter on the claims form is rejected?

As suggested in my previous post (Message #6), are you trying to claim too soon? If not then a few more details about the particular issue you are facing would be helpful.
