Today and last Sunday I have had a parcel delivered! According to the postie they have new contracts and Sunday working is part of the working week now ( not overtime ).
Is this happening elsewhere in the country? I haven't seen this announced anywhere ( admittedly I don't read newspapers anymore ).

Royal Mail have been delivering parcels for a while on Sunday.
It always used to be overtime so perhaps being contracted to do so is new.

Yes. I asked the Postie how come and he replied that parcels only are delivered on Sundays now in order to compete with other delivery companies.
And despite there supposed to be a new strange delivery schedule by Royal Mail- Mon, Wed & Friday one week and Tues, Thurs the following - I have still been getting mail daily. But won't be getting much now as I seldom buy - sorry!

That's all I get nowadays since I stopped buying! And one was my car insurance reminder which means a big bill! Oh and I still get junk mail🙄

New employees are on contracts that require Sunday working. Old ones have none Sunday contracts.
