Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

2nd Class Mail is not a reliable means of delivery. I am still waiting for delivery of three different orders, the oldest dating back to 28th of January and the most recent 17th February. I will not purchase anything more via eBay if this is the method of delivery.

Re: Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

If an item hasn't arrived after two weeks, Royal Mail acknowledge it as lost. Only the sender can put a claim in against Royal Mail.

Re: Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

This is happening far too frequently, eBay should advise sellers not to use this service.

You have only 30 days from estimated delivery date given on the eBay order confirmation to open an 'Item not received' case .. Escalate to eBay after 4 complete days for a full refund --- here >

Re: Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

I used to send most of my items by RM 2nd Class Small Parcel at £3.25 and now I send them Fully Tracked 48 through RM. I get much more insurance and it only costs me 14 pence more at £3.39!!

Why wouldn't anyone prefer that?

Re: Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

Yes tracked 48 is very good for parcel size but most of my items are letter/large letter. Interesting i have just looked at an Ebay label RM collection cannot collect until Friday when buying direct they collect tomorrow £2.70 large tracked, and they suggest paying another £1.70 for proof of delivery? There's no way i will use Ebay labels

I cannot understand why you would wait 5 weeks for a delivery before taking action?

You need to issue a chargeback with your payment provider to recover your outlay for the order of the 28th as you have passed the date by which you should have filed a claim through eBay.

Your second order of the 17th Feb is still within the 30 day period so immediately file an Item Not Received case... follow the link below

I would strongly advise that you familiarise yourself with the eBay Moneyback Guarantee, which should go a long way toward the prevention of getting yourself in such a pickle again. Good luck!

Re: Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

For large orders I send 48 too. But use second class for low items.

Re: Royal Mail 2nd Class Mail

Not used eBay labels for years as when I printed a label out it marked it the same day as sent. Much prefer RM as they collect although have had no collection for the two parcels this week.
