my first attempt at getting info across to fellow sellers with this prob (so far there is no 'simple' answer), so this has probably happened to many sellers already but now its happened to me twice within a week, what has happened is that when buyers buy one or more of my very much well under 'under 1kg' items the ebay simple delivery bot then decides they being 2 or 3 or more items altogether in a box must need to weigh over 1kg and as such charges my buyer much more than the under 1kg rate.
And as far as i can work out the only way to correct this would be to;
a) contact the buyer and agree to temp cancel the sale
b) revise the item(s) choosing to opt out of simple delivery (how much longer will that be an option tho'?)
c) relist and then send the numbers to the buyer
simple?
and by then the poor buyer has lost interest and gone elsewhere to buy something else and so doesn't want to know?
I spoke to a lovely lady tonight who rang me from ebay about it and despite her saying over and over 'i understand what you are telling me', she then said she would have to forward the complaint to another specialist department as she could not do anything about it!
so much for 'simple',
Ian
