Postage

Hi there,

I’m asking again ref simple delivery. I have items that I have as large letter, when it comes to sending the item eBay has converted it to a small parcel. So buyer has paid £1.70  for large letter, then it says buyer wants small parcel tracked and I have to pay £3.45! And leaving me out of pocket! Sometimes by as much as £1.70.Am I doing something wrong?

Please please help if at all possible! someone else has had this issue!

kind regards and thanks,

H

£1.70 isn't a Simple Delivery rate - (unless more than one item has been purchased and combined shipping has come up with that figure).

Did you receive the £1.70? If so, it sounds like you are purchasing a Simple Delivery label, when it's optional to do so.

But that's just a guess, if you let us know a few item numbers it will be easier to look to see if we can work out what has happened.

I am also having an issue.  When selling items, I am selecting with Royal Mail tracked or Evri standard ( in accordance with the weight and size of goods) On two occasions now the buyer has managed to select Evri fully tacked and they have paid the initial postage fee I selected and I have had to pay the remaining balance. It's nearly a 3.00 difference.  Not too sure just how thick I am being!

I can see your last 13 listings

-11 are Jewellery and Handbags listed with RM or Evri tracked. If there was any issue with those - you entered the postage price(!) (or could change what ebay suggested.)

For the backpack and boots, they are simple delivery.

-When listing you select the appropriate size and weight for the packaged item.

-When it sells you use the label ebay provides.

Which did you need to pay any extra - and why did you think you needed to?

Do you have any queries on your current listings?
