When I click the "Get Postage Label" to generate a label or QR code the below red box error shows;
"It was not possible to generate the label. Something is wrong. Please try again later."
This is happening on each of the 3 items I have sold and it happened last week - both instances have been raised to ebay support but no update has ever been provided. It took nearly an hour each time to explain
I have used this service for many years and never had an issue generating a postage label

I had this issue yesterday. I had selected collection and even though the label failed I still got confirmation from Royal Mail for the booked collection. So I had a collection but no matching label or eBay tracking. I contact eBay Support who gave me a link to generate the label. Trouble is this created a new label (new tracking number) without collection.
The adviser then suggested I cancel the whole sale, re-list and ask the buyer to purchase again. I said that was a very bad solution. He then said I should directly purchase a new label or book a collection with Royal Mail and eBay would refund the cost. I went ahead and booked the collection for 30p, but the advisor then said he didn't have authority to refund the 30p and I would have to submit a claim for an unused label via the help pages. This seems to be for a completely different scenario.
I was on chat for about an hour. They never provided any advice about the original booked collection with no label. I did manage to cancel that myself via the Royal Mail site.
What a complete shambles!

Well I'm hardly a newbie. If they are going to force feed Simple Delivery at least make sure the basics work and support staff are empowered to resolve issues. Thread has been running 11 months now.
