I'm not understanding this...
The last few sales I could download a QR code which I took to the local collection point and printed a label out. It didn't cost me anything. The last sale I had to pay for 1st Class Royal Mail, yet the Buyer had paid for Postage. I'm confused. There was no transaction fees. Anyone shed any light ? I'm down buy £4.09. Thanks. screen grab attached of the account

Basically said..
What your buyer paid
Subtotal £49
Buyer Protection Fee £2.68
Postage £4.45
------------
Order Total £56.13
What you earned
Order Total £56.13
eBay collected from Buyer
Buyer Protection Fee -£2.68
Selling Costs
Transaction Fee £0.00
Postage label -£4.09
Order Earnings £49.36

Your buyer paid eBay £56.13 including postage and the buyer fee
eBay kept £2.68 leaving £53.45, £49 sale price +£4.45 postage you charged
You bought a label £4.09 from this money the buyer paid leaving you with £49.36
So you have received the £49 item price and the £4.09 postage and have the 36p extra charged for postage/packing on your listing

But why have I paid postage? The other sales I didn't have to pay postage? Just used the QR code.
I'm being paid £49 but have now paid £4.06 out of my own account so my actual profit from the sale is £44.94

Are you saying when you got to the post office with the QR code you had to pay the post office £4.06 even though eBay have taken postage already?

No, the previous sales I've just downloaded the QR code, scanned it at the drop off point and the label has printed out. No extra cost to me.
This time there was no QR code to download, I had to purchase at my expense the 1st Class Postage, which I then printed out at home and stuck on the parcel.

If you didn't pay for the other postage then you must have used simple delivery, for the one where you had to buy the postage, you didn't.

Ok but the Buyer paid postage and so have I so eBay has kept the postage cost, yeah? If, not where has it gone?

Hi bandblackcat, thanks for your post.
Based on the breakdown above, it doesn't look like postage was charged twice. If you want, you can confirm the item number, and I will take a further look to double check.
Thank you,
Marco

Thanks but I'm hoping it's sorted now. eBay has emailed me. I should be getting my £49 plus the £4.45 Postage the Buyer paid.
