Can anyone advise me please?…. I sent a parcel to Spain at the end of August. Buyer hasn’t received it. Obviously getting irate now as the item has cost him well over £100 inc postage. I do use the GSP but for some reason thjs item slipped the net when I changed over so I sent it manually through Royal Mail.
he is wanting a refund obviously but I can’t as I run the risk of losing the expensive item.
when I track it I see they have strep delivery but no one was home. Problem is he claims they didn’t leave a card so he doesn’t know which courier has it.
He speaks no English and even with the translator communicating is quite difficult.
any help much appreciated

If he opens a "not received" case on ebay they would enforce the refund. You can ask him to wait a bit longer. If it's not delivered it will hopefully come back to you eventually but ebay won't allow you wait that long. Buyer has 30 days from estimated delivery date to start a case.

eBay counts attempted delivery as delivery, so you've done your job. As a courtesy, after the item is returned to you, you may offer him a refund of the Item Cost (less postage cost).
If it were me, I would add him to my Blocked List and stop messaging outside of an actual Case. When people are angry about making a mistake and looking for someone to blame, protracted messaging usually harms more than helps.

Hi leebrothersmc, thanks for your post.
If your tracking shows delivered, or attempt of delivery, then you'd be covered. Otherwise, the buyer might be able to request a refund, but again this depends on your tracking details. If you confirm the item number, I'd be happy to take a look for you no problem.
Thank you,
Marco
