Mistake on Postage

HI,

 I am new to selling on E-bay and just made a silly mistake! The initial mistake was on the postage needed, so I paid myself at the post office to send it. I then realised that the tracking would still be done on the original tracking number so it will not be recorded as arrived! I can not find anyway to change this. I tried to cancel the old label but it just said "This postage label can't be cancelled." I am OK about paying the extra postage, but how can I be paid for the goods if on paper it never arrives?

Mistake on Postage

If you cannot manually change the tracking number next to where you marked the item as dispatched,  try this on a laptop / PC not the app or mobile browser,  Chrome works well with eBay then contact eBay Customer Services they will change this for you.

 

This is the easiest and quickest way to contact eBay Customer Services, for a Call Back option.

Lines open between 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on weekdays.

9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.

 

I recommend contacting CS very first thing in the morning, when the lines first open,  as there's more chance of Dublin answering.

Try going to the Order Details > Postage > dropdown menu (beside track package) > Add Tracking > + Additional Tracking Number.    If still not luck contact ebay and they will change it for you.  You can use callback on here:

But even without tracking you would get the money.  You'd just have to wait 14 days for it.

Thanks,

 I got a call back, and 'eventually' got confirmation that confirms they will pay me (after 14days) wether or not arrival is proved. I assume its down to the buyer to complain if it doesn't arrive.

 

I also descovered myself that the Post office Reference Number "is also" the Tracking number so I added that to the order and deleted the original one. I think that as worked, so thank you for your help.
