How long does it take to refund unused postage label

I was able to send two items in one parcel so one of the labels was unused.

I completed the "request a refund" document and confirmed this on the phone as I requested to know how the second item could be shown as sent.

The customer service agent checked and confirmed that the "request a refund" document was received.

However, since the 13th August no refund has been received.

The question therefore is how long should you need to wait for the refund as this appears excessive.

Re: How long does it take to refund unused postage label

Sent email to ebay - not refunded due to "glitch" in system.

Now refunded.

This simple delivery service is as simple as first appears.

Perhaps Ebay should test systems before operating them as apart from the issue of combining two items into one package, they had no system for generating extra labels if items too heavy to go in one package.

Even though the full price had been included in the listing, had to buy three extra labels from Royal Mail because ebay could only issue one label for the entire order!

Re: How long does it take to refund unused postage label

Question, did you open the label you did NOT use? You needed to do this regardless. Once you have opened the unwanted label , you can then go to VIEW ORDER DETAILS and at this point you can ADD TRACKING. Add the tracking details from the USED label and you do this BEFORE requesting a refund.

Yes I did everything I should have done as I was speaking to a customer service person at the time.

There are two tracking numbers shown on the orders page.

I am now past the 14 day refund request date and ebay owes me £6.65p
