How do I know if my courier collection is booked successfully?

I sold an item and selected courier collection. I chose a date and it apparently went through but there's nothing in my account to say that it was booked or that it's awaiting collection. I haven't received an email either.  If I go to my Selling > Orders page it says "Dispatch by Wed 8 Apr Use your prepaid label that's tracked and fully protected by eBay" and "Funds pending – awaiting delivery".

 

How can I check to see if the collection is booked?

If this is an item being sent using Simple Delivery, with collection by Royal Mail or DHL eCommerce, then when you book the collection you need to ensure, once you have selected the collection date, that you click/tap on the blue 'Get label' button to actually generate the label and complete the process (several people have missed that step as it is not all that intuitive).  You should then receive a confirmation email from eBay/Royal Mail.

How do I know if it was Simple Delivery? I don't know what that is. I just booked courier collection. It let me select the date and complete the process of booking the home collection but I don't recall if the button was blue or not.

 

Where in my account can I check to see if the collection was booked?

The item you have just sold was sent with Simple Delivery.  If you look at the listing, under postage, it states 'Standard Tracked Delivery' and 'Express Tracked Delivery', as opposed to specifying the actual carrier to be used, which denotes Simple Delivery.

 

I don't think there is any way that you can check in your account whether a collection has actually been booked.  If it had been done correctly then you should have received an email confirming the collection.  See if it will let you repeat the process of booking the collection.  If not then you will probably need to contact eBay Customer Service.

Great info as its not very clear but it works when you click label and then it comes up booked and then you get the Email of confirmation,,,,thanks

This is the link but for most, myself included it only shows automated assistant not the Call Back option.

 

Though some lucky few are seeing Call Back !

Yes, that's the link I have. It has worked for possibly the last 40 or 50 times I've used it but today......zilch. Sums eBay up really.
