Global shipping

Hi,

I've got a question regarding Global shipping?

I recently changed some of my items to free shipping, one of those items sold to a customer in Jersey. For the first time it didn't come up as postage through the global shipping program which meant there was extra information needed on the Royal mail site when paying for postage. (not sure I have provided all the information now).

Is this down to me offering free post?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

The Channel Islands sales don't need to go through GSP. The same as the Isle of Man.

Just FYI, if you send to Jersey through the Royal Mail website using Tracked 24 / 48 it costs less. For eg, a Tracked 48 small parcel to Jersey is only £2.83. If eBay are quoting the standard UK domestic price for the RM tracked services, which I believe they were based on memory from the last time I had a Channel Islands sale, don't pay over the odds, go direct to RM.

You use Royal Mail so the cost is the same to send to Jersey as it is to send to mainland UK.

You do need to attach a customs label (CN22) to the parcel.  Otherwise, just pay and post as normal.

Hi,

 thanks for the reply.
I was wondering why it didn't send it through the global shipping program as usual. I'm enrolled and have always sent GSP without needing to fill out CN22.
 Thanks

Hi,

thank you for the reply. That makes sense then. I was was worried that GSP was being selected.

                                                                                                                                                                                         Thanks you

Definitely cheaper to send tracked 48 to Jersey. Just bought a label for small parcel £2.83.
