Fraud

Hi I recently posted some sold items almost a fortnight ago that the buyer never received, I have since seen the items (apart from confirming serial numbers) that appear to be the exact items I sold.

TIA John

Are you a private seller using simple delivery? Did tracking show your items were delivered? Did you or ebay refund?

And to add another question...

Are the items for sale by your buyer?

I'm just hoping that since you used simple delivery and if the buyer was refunded, that the refund was paid for by ebay as they insure packages when they don't arrive.

Sorry but there really isn't enough info on your original post to be able to guide you.  More info is needed as to what happened when there was no delivery, which carrier you used, where 'your' items are for sale, etc.

Until then add the buyer to your blocked list and provide the necessary info.

If you are sure its easy, just buy them back, its the only way they learn.

What will buying them back achieve?

OP, please can you come back and give the information that has been asked for?

What does the tracking say?

Did your buyer open a case?

Has your buyer been refunded?

Where did you see the items for sale?

The tracking says the parcel is stuck in the onward hub - Royal Mail, I posted these via the post office on 17 Nov. 24 hr delivery signed for. Golf irons.

The buyer never indicated they had been received, being looking for similar I spotted the items for sale by another seller, I emailed the seller and they confirmed the quantity and serial numbers on the items, they are unique in this respect and my sold clubs.

After contacting the seller I  contacted the buyer and he confirmed he’d bought them for a friend who didn’t like them so forwarded them to this specialist golf seller to sell on (their) behalf. He’d never confirmed he’d received them until I’d contacted in almost two weeks after the sale.

Since I’d already initiated a refund eBay are now asking for details of my debit card to complete the refund, I’m loathed to pass on these details until this is sorted.

Any advice appreciated, I will try and contact eBay tomorrow, I had started a claim against Royal Mail that I’ll cancel once this is resolved

Many thanks John

EBay need to be shown the message you received from your buyer confirming they got the item they bought. You shouldn't have to refund.

My advice is that your claim against RM is potentially fraudulent as you know they delivered the item.

You can't claim just because the tracking hasn't updated.
