Evri increased the minimum price to £5.46

Hello, I recently observed that Evri has raised its minimum pricing from £2.90 to £5.46.

I was trying to ship a padded envelope under 1 kg and was surprised to see eBay's quote from Evri at £5.46. Initially, I suspected a system glitch, but a check on Evri's own website confirmed the same rate. However, I haven't come across any official announcement regarding such a significant price hike.

Does anyone have information on this change?

Evri have not increased their prices. You buyer must live in what Evri class as an outlying area in which case there is a large extra charge. 

If your parcel is a small parcel you could send it by RM for not much more than Evri's usual price.

I've just experienced the same thing as my buyer lives in the Isle of Wight. Came across your post as I wondered why the sharp increase in postage too with Evri and this is why. I emailed the buyer and explained that Evri was more expensive by a mile compared to other couriers and they were happy to change to a more cost efficient courier

 I had the same shock with a  packet to Londonderry NI.  Ive changed to standard Royal Mail 48 Hr tracked. But I dont like them as they are not very reliable. 

It would be helpful if  there was a way to adjust postage from Evri to Royal Mail for the areas with the Location surcharge. Heck just a  way to work out the areas subject to surcharge would be a help !

I quote other courier for my postage so that I can pick between RM and Evri depending on the size, weight and cost.  No one has ever complained and it gives me flexibility.

If the parcel is so large it couldn;t go by RM instead I just exclude outlying buyer locations in the listing.

How do you set this up. on the product listing.

I Knew the sizing was shoebox so  Selected Evri and set the P&P to   £3

I have now set up a second p& P for Royal Mail 48 Hr

How do you set it up so that  if the user is in one of these locations that have the surcharge  they are  unable to choose EVri at  £3 and only offered Royal Mail.

 Look forward to reply as I havent got to grips with postage tables as  I have no idea how to do this with respect to changes of courier charge by location

I sold an item through eBay and I put £2.94, only later did I realise that they charge £5.46 to Northern Ireland. So I cancelled the order and my buyer agreed to pay £3.75 with royal mail. I won't be posting to Northern Ireland again. All other parcels though are still £2.94 with EVRI.

Same thing has happened to me, I'm trying to call  Evri customer service, but it's  terrible, and ebay is making their own rubbish up, I've lost out big time, someone else has made an order and Evri is charge me an additional £7 when it ment to be £2.94 for 1kg

I've sent loads of parcels in the UK through Evri for £2.94, so why now are they increasing the price, I even bought something from my sons ebay account  to my pwn and it's still charging £5.46

You can change the supplier at the point where you buy the label, just click on Postage Service & you can change shippers.  I regularly use RM & Evri & use whoever is cheaper for my package size.

If using a phone or other device, when you click on Buy Postage label or the pink banner above the item in your sold list, you should get the postage info page, click the little pencils on the right & you can select a different size of parcel/letter (sometimes eBay AI selects the wrong size) or shipping carrier other than what is selected.  Just make sure it’s a like for like service, not charge for 1st class signed for them use bog standard 2nd class to actually post.
