Estimated delivery dates

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed that estimated delivery dates seem

wrong for Royal Mail tracked 48.

Ive had an order last night (Sunday 19th) and I ship all my orders by Royal Mail tracked 48 and my dispatch time is set to 1 day. For some reason it is giving the estimated delivery time of 1-2 days even though Royal Mail tracked 48 is 2-3 days. This is giving the customer an estimated delivery time that I won’t be able to achieve.

Has anyone else had this issue?

Estimated delivery dates

It's a total shambles at the moment. Had someone place an order this morning (Monday 20th) with a 2-day dispatch time and 2nd class postage and eBay is saying they'll get it on Wednesday 22nd. Impossible.

It seems to vary through the week and even though all of my listings have the same postage, it gives different estimates for each once purchased.

Really making it impossible for small businesses to remain on eBay.

I complete agree with you on this. Surely for a 2nd class order with 2 day dispatch you’d be looking at Friday at the earliest for delivery. You’d have be dispatching today by tracked 24 for it to be guaranteed delivery on Wednesday. It’s just not possible.

I spoke to EBAY on the phone this morning regarding this issue and they said it’s the information from the Carrier ie Royal Mail etc that pulls through to their system that dictates the estimated delivery dates displayed and not something they set. Needs sorting out really because it’s not accurate at all and it reflects bad on us business sellers.

At one point last year I was using Royal Mail tracked 24 to gain the EBAY premium service badge but it was costing me like £4.29 per item and eating into my tight profit margins so just wasn’t sustainable.
