Hi after the sale eBay has changed the Royal Mail postage to ups and I can’t seem to change it. I have accepted then cancelled the ups label but when I go back I can only accept ups again. Do I just buy Royal Mail label at the post office and enter the tracking details and this will satisfy eBay and release my payment including with the buyer postage payment ( when delivered) or am I tied in to ups which is twice as much £?
I’m going round in circles
please help

Hi, yes it was, I hadn’t realised as the RM postage option was available to use.
it’ll have to be ups.
thank you for helping to clarifying this, I know now for future.
cheers and have a good weekend

How do I get out of only being able to accept ups?
I’ve accepted and cancelled once (god knows when I will get the refund back) went to select postage thinking I would get the choice but I’m now in the loop again where I can only accept ups , which means accept and cancel (another £20 for refund) 😡
do you know if I just enter a tracking number from Roysl Mail (physically going and paying postage at the post office) I will be paid?

Can you not delete UPS as a postage option here:
https://www.ebay.co.uk/ship/prf/simpledelivery.
You can use your own postage, but will not be able to add that new tracking, because of this your payout for those items, will be held for a minimum of 14 days. Should any case for item not received be opened later, the new tracking can be added to the case details.

Thank you 😊
I’ve not selected ups as an option (unless there’s something in the background I’m not aware of) I did drill into paclink link (just above the ups suggested postage label ) which took me to another site , although still linked to eBay (that’s what it said) for a label which was cheaper by £10. but more than the RM price by £2.00. But finding a drop off point for ups isn’t clear, so more checking before I opt for this option. Other than this I will pop to the post office 🤦🏼♀️
I think the challenge is down to the item is required signature age restrictions. But eBay should not stop RM who offer this service.
appreciate your help.

Was it the saws?
You can't send them using Royal Mail as they no longer carry bladed items.

According to the Royal Mail web site here:
...saws are classed as "Sharp or Pointed Items" not "Bladed Items" and can be accepted with suitable packaging. Whether eBay understands the difference is another matter, of course.

The saws are not on Simple Delivery, so you can send them how you like (as long as the carrier accepts saws).
i.e. You don't have to buy a label on the ebay website (or through any link).
( @tressygirl is UPS on some people Simple Delivery options now? It's not for me.)
