Anyone else having problems with eBay. Been threatened with derating due to despatch times/ delivery. Just checked and it doesn't look as if ebay recognises bank holidays for despatch times. Secondly some items have been marked when I have despatched them within 1 day of purchase ( I use 2 or 3 day despatch tines) but have been flagged because the national carrier is use (royal mail) has managed to taken 7 days rather than 2 to deliver. So I am being threatened with derating for some instances that are not in my control.

I am having this issue. I always dispatch on time (within 24 hours Mon-Fri). Royal Mail sometimes don't scan until it reaches a regional depot a day or two later so it is flagged as late dispatch. Also RM taking 5 days to deliver Tracked48. All outside my control and I'm going to lose my top rated seller. I've complained to eBay but all they say is that according to the tracking I've dispatched late. Do I stop sending tracked? Not much point paying for tracked if it's going to have a negative effect.

Seems like ebay doesn't care it's system is wrong...talking about despatch tines then monitoring delivery times......what mire can you expect from an American company ...they will start making up the "facts" soon

Further warnings regarding despatch times, yet the items are despatched within 24 hours agianst my stated 48 hours. Threaten to derate me because Royal Mail (you know the trusted one) takes time to deliver.

"derating for some instances that are not in my control."
Yes, and also if the carrier loses it you have to refund the buyer.
Ebay's current plans (as much as I understand them) is to move all private sellers to Simple Delivery for as many of their items as ebay and their partners would like. If I understand it correctly, this resolves both of the above issues. However there are 100s of threads on this forum, with other concerns and voicing dislike of Simple Delivery in other respects.
I select "Other Courier 3-5 days" as the courier in most of my listings, and then post 2nd class or whatever. It means the estimated delivery date has a few more days - I also guess it puts a few buyers off thinking they may have to wait a bit longer.
