Delaying Posting

Quick question to throw out there - just sold an LP and buyer has paid but has asked me to delay posting until 26/08 as he's going on holiday. I'm happy to do this but just wondering if I print the label (I usually use the in-house eBay labels) to keep eBay and the metrics happy and just pop it in the post when requested, will there be any issues.

Appreciate I won't get the actual money for some time yet but more concerned about postage labels having some kind of expiry on them, can't find anything one way or another. There shouldn't be really and I cant see there being an issue but this is "Simple Delivery" after all so normality and logic tend not to apply...

Thanks.

ebay labels are only valid for 14 days and your dispatch rating will suffer.   Better to cancel/refund with buyer's agreement and relist when they come back so they can buy again.

Thanks. Won't printing the label class it as dispatched though as that usually generates the notification to the buyer, the only thing would be that the tracking wouldn't be updated but the buyer would know that. eBay wouldn't know I hadn't actually posted it as it could be the RM glitching..?

If you have a link to the 14 day info that would be appreciated.

Yes, printing the label counts as dispatched. And as long as the courier scans this label within your original delivery window, it counts as on time. But @**peaseblossom**  is correct this is too long of a delay: your label will expire, and you will receive a late item discount. Better to follow the advice given and end/relist for your buyer closer to delivery time. Or end/relist so they can buy it now but with an alternative delivery address entered where it can go immediately.
