I have an item that sold last week and was scheduled for DHL COLLECTION on Friday 24th between 08:00 and 18:00 but was later that day changed to 17:48 to 18:48 but they never arrived. A wasted day, as usual. However it gets far worse. My eBay listing shows the package as "collected" and in transit to my buyer. This is total falsehood - a lie. The package remains in my hallway.
I can also add that my wife was expecting a DHL delivery that same day, using the same vague spread of hours. Her package never arrived but she got a DHL email stating that they tried to deliver but no one was home and supplied "proof" (ha bloody ha) by sending a totally black photograph....a bit odd as our porch is floodlit and the streen light outside our house is no more that 3m from the door. Blackness is impossible....so another total fabrication and a lie.
I have contacted my buyer to advise, I have attempted to contact eBay and DHL, and so far (now Monday) I have had no response. I am still looking for ways to contact eBay as they are responsible for selecting DHL as the delivery agent....but eBay seems to make everything so difficult..............any ideas?
FYI: TOUGH MASTER Tool Box 28" on wheels, Item number: 286875882695, Order: 12-13731-30996

P.S. Do eBay personnel ever read/action these posts?

Here's the update....
1. Zero response from DHL despite two emails to their Customer Services, via their own website.
2. eBay responded and (a) apologised for the delayed response, blaming 'increased number of inquiries' (b) defended DHLO by stating that DHL handle 'thousands of items are collected daily....but issues are few and far between' and finally (c) advised me to organise my own courier, set new tracking and expect a refund of that cost after sending proof.
3. But here's the best bit....on the Monday the very same DHL driver turned up. He was empty handed, so expecting to collect my package. So I quizzed him on the delivery he didn't make on the Friday and sent an email with a black photo of our front door...and he panicked. "It was dark when I came" - nope - you didn't even get to my door - you are a liar - look at the lighting here and the street lights.....Anyway I took his photo with my phone and he sh!t himself and ran off. I took photos of his van and registration and went to take another of him in the van and he tried to run me over. What a knob!
I have a Ring doorbell so his photo was taken as soon as he stepped foot on the path .... just like it would have been if he had turned up on the Friday!
4. I booked in Royal Mail for a collection the next day and it was delivered to my buyer the day after that and my postage refund arrived the day after that.
Makes you wonder how DHL vet their employees huh?
