"Delivery Attempted - No Answer;" one week later... funds still pending!

I seem to be in an odd situation with my funds still being "pending" after one week, because the item I have sent was attempted for delivery and their was no answer from the buyer at their door for it to be collected; and yet, the buyer isn't making any action to contact me to say that they haven't got their item, nor to ask for its whereabouts, nor to attempt for making a schedule for a redelivery of it; leaving me stuck with my funds of the item still being pending.

Here is the situation timeline:

• 18th February, 2025: I have sold the item on eBay and it has been paid by the buyer on the same day.

• 19th February, 2025: I have dispatched the item through Royal Mail under their 2nd class service; and provided with its tracking/reference number.
• 21st February, 2025: The delivery of the item was attempted as the output displays, "Delivery Attempted - No Answer." Plus, even when I click on the hyper-link of the tracking/reference number in eBay's "Order Details," I am taken to Royal Mail's "Track Your Item" webpage with the number automaticlly in their search bar; and when searched, it, too, displays "Delivery Attempted," and etc.

• 25th February, 2025: After some days, I have messaged the buyer through eBay's messages to make the user aware that their item was attempted and I even provided two Royal Mail links in the message to help the buyer schedule and redeliver the item to their location; after some days from sending that message, I still have no response back from the buyer! Does this user want their item, or not?!

• 28th February, 2025: Again, I have currently resent the same message from the 25th to the buyer and I am yet to see if the buyer may actually responed back - but I highly doubt it, at the moment.

So, with my funds still on hold, no other attempted delivery of the item to the buyer, and no contact back from the buyer, what do I even do from here? Is there some sort of error going on? Or a new form of a scam taking place? If anybody here knows any other opinions, options, solutions, or in a similar situation that I am in, please feel free to respond back to this message.

It is frustrating and annoying when this happens,  but it looks like your payout will be on hold now,  for 14 days.

The good news is if the buyer opens a case for item not received,  and attempted delivery here,  this counts for  'delivery'  and you would not have to refund.

After some days since my post on the 28th of Feb', I still have not got a single message back from the buyer and the funds are still currently on hold for the item that I have dispatched on the 19th of Feb'.

I think the 14 days are nearly coming to a close; and I am still wanting for my funds to be transferred over, along with waiting for any responds back from the buyer - only time can really tell.

Those 14 days are timed to the very second !

If there are no other holds in place for you,   such as those for a new or returning seller,  then your payout will be released after those 14 days lapse.

Good news: I have checked my eBay payments and the funds are now finally in from the item that I have sold over two weeks ago - sweet! 🎉

Bad news: the one issue that remains is that the buyer still has not replyed back to my two messages; and I do not know whether the "Delivery Attempted - No Answer" is an error, meaning that the buyer has the item, but is not responding back; or the buyer may be off from eBay for a temporary amount of time. 💭
