Yes same here at 7.00am this morning I checked in and it stated my payment was available today 27th as it had said since it was delivered on Tuesday or Wednesday, checked back in a 9 and the it had changed to 6th July and then in the small print 2 days after that, reason being payment now on hold until I post out the parcel and it’s received, if I go to tracking myself it’s shows as delivered as it did on eBay but that’s changed now.
it’s a shambles I spent 3 hours with various assistance that were all useless, then eventually was able to get to there phone help line which wasn’t available much this morning probably for this reason.
im owed £267 which I should have had today, one would assume if you phone and talk to someone then all they have to do is release the funds but no, eventually they told me this was a glitch for some and I’ll get my payment with 48hrs I argued that eBay states 2 days after delivery they then said it’s actually 3 day ( never heard that before) and besides it was dues today 27th so what ever excuse they come up with it doesn’t change the fact payment had been declared as today the. Then their system has a meltdown and conveniently they wipe all our deliver info and the dates change. EBay LISTEN to your customers it’s your bulls up and in the meantime eBay are making more money in interest from our delayed payments. Surely with this kind of error they should sort the matter out promptly not try to make out they know nothing about it, as far I’m concerned my payment date was today, customers happy item received, holding our funds for longer should involve compensation.
basically as everyone else is saying I think eBay’s days are numbered they sat back for 25 years and just made everything worse for buyers and sellers and have lost their way.
useless comes to mind, unfortunately I’ve been selling ebay uk for over 25 years from the very start of uk ebay and probably another year selling on ebay.com before that.
I can tell everyone we are worse off now from when they started, we are going backward, for years ebay sellers have been getting their payments instantly pretty much so now we’ve gone backward to 20 years ago having to wait but with more rules to follow.
as for the new buyer protect fee that buyers have to pay when buying from private sellers well that’s
just BS buyers have had buyer protection for years at least a decade so to come up with a story it’s to cover them in the event of a problem, well that’s was all included before at no cost anyway so to introduce something they already had and charge for it is wrong.
and how they managed to charge sellers 10% on the postage cost for probably 10 years I don’t know, the postage was nothing to do with them before so how they got away with taking some of the P&P cost I don’t know, I’ve always hoped that would be deemed wrong by a governing body of some time and we would all get massive refunds “I dream on”
